On Being a Faithful Echo of God's Holy Word....
Christians have one task...echo Jesus Christ. As our Master said: "A student fully taught will be like his teacher." Believers need to strive to reflect Jesus without distortion. Personal experiences and background too often color how we understand Truth. By carefully checking interpretations with the best scholars in the original Biblical languages, Early Church Fathers, ancient history and customs- a true echo of Jesus Christ can be heard once again. Do you have ears to hear?

Some have asked why Don writes about the law so much. Martin Luther has the answer!
Martin Luther speaks again: "Even though I've been dead for over 400 years, Don has asked me to explain why he writes so much on the Christian's relationship to the Law of Moses. If I may, allow me to answer by quoting myself from the 1600's, "If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. There the loyalty of the soldier is proved, and to be steady on all the battle fields besides is but mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point." That's why Don keeps talking about the Law! Even though you modern Christians have cell phones and 3d movies, there's widespread confusion about whether we follow Moses or Jesus or both. This is a battlefield for the mind. Should Christians look to Jesus for atonement but to Moses for their ethical guidance? Preposterous, for "in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:3) Also, remember "the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17) By the way, I never actually uttered the quote above. It came from a novel written in my time period. However, it sounds so much like me I pretend I said it. But actually...Fritz said it. Does it sound right to say, "As Fritz once said..." Who care what Fritz said? But me? You know me! I'm an important world-renown theologian, father of the Reformation! Auf Wiedersehen....
